The Matrix seat is constructed from fiberglass and uses a unique honeycomb matrix manufacturing technique that allows the seat to exceed the strength and safety of a carbon fiber seat only at a lower price point. The seat has a unique semi-translucent back panel that allows the matrix technology to be seen. Impact absorbing foam is used around the headrest areas to reduce the risk of injury and anti-slip fabric on the shoulders helps retain the upper body. A deep base along with high side bolsters provide excellent lateral support whilst keeping the occupants legs fully within the confines of the seat shell for increased side impact protection.
The Sparco Matrix seat is compatible for use with all FHR (HANS) and hybrid devices and also any harness configuration. It is ideal for most motorsport disciplines including GT or rally cars that have restricted internal space. The seat must be used with the correct side mounts for FIA approval.
