The Sparco Matrix racing seat has been developed to meet the latest FIA 8855-2021 approval, meaning it is super strong and safe, capable of withstanding side impacts of up to 42g. The enclosed, wrap-around head supports offer enhanced side impact head protection, but also allow the Matrix seat to fit into tighter spaces, such as GT car cockpits.

FIA Approval 8855-2021 (10-year homologation)
The Matrix seat is constructed from fiberglass and utilizes a unique honeycomb matrix manufacturing technique that allows it to surpass the strength and safety of a carbon fiber seat at a lower price. The seat features a unique semi-translucent back panel that showcases the matrix technology. Impact-absorbing foam is used around the headrest areas to reduce the risk of injury, and anti-slip fabric on the shoulders helps to restrain the upper body. A deep base, along with high side bolsters, provides excellent lateral support while keeping the occupants' legs fully within the seat frame for enhanced side-impact protection.
The Sparco Matrix seat is compatible with all FHR (HANS) and hybrid devices, as well as any harness configuration. It is ideal for most motorsport disciplines, including GT and rally cars with limited internal space. The seat must be used with the correct side mounts for FIA approval.
