Our Universal 2C spray paint uses an innovative 2-component system:
The hardening agent is already in the can, which means you can say goodbye to messy mixing. Simply pierce the hardening agent cartridge with the push button, shake, and that's it!

Since this is a true two-component paint, the lacquer itself is very hard and resistant: high temperatures, chemicals, corrosion, and salt are no problem. A clear coat is also not required. Even amateurs can achieve a smooth, OE-like finish thanks to the fine spray pattern—without sacrificing the good conscience of having done it themselves.

The Rim 2C spray paint kit includes

3 x 400ml cans of Universal 2C spray paint – enough for 4 rims*.
25 cards to mask between rims and tires
4 degreasing cleaning wipes
1 pair of disposable protective gloves
a sanding sponge
a high-quality microfiber cloth for cleaning and care
* sufficient for rim sizes up to a maximum of 18" (depending on the number of spokes and rim surface, a fourth can may be necessary for 18")

Application
Remove the wheel, clean the rim and roughen it with the supplied abrasive sponge.
Degrease the surface with a cleaning cloth. Insert a card between the rim and the tire.
Apply Universal 2C spray paint in 2 or 3 thin coats.

Note: The paint is dry and ready for assembly after 24 hours.

Which rims is the Rim 2C spray paint kit suitable for?
It is suitable for both aluminum and steel rims.

What preparations are necessary?
The rims must be completely clean and dry. Any rust must be completely removed, for example, using a rotating wire brush for a cordless screwdriver. Next, sand the rim with the included sanding sponge. Now remove the sanding dust and degrease the surface with isopropanol wipes. That's it.

Do I need a primer?
No, primer is basically not needed; sanding and degreasing the substrate is completely sufficient.

Do I need a clear coat?
No, due to the high-quality properties of 2C lacquer, a clear coat is not required to protect the surface.

How can I clean and care for newly painted rims?
For the first 7 days, the lacquer coating should not be subjected to extreme stress (fast highway travel, hard braking at high speed, driving on mountain passes). After 7 days, we recommend cleaning with an acid-free rim cleaner.
